Always be consistent with your dog, he’ll learn much more quickly.
This really does work, my weinmarner has the loudest bark and very frightening to anyone that does not know her. My son’s girlfriend was afraid to visit although the dog is a gentle 11month old giant. I told my son to get his girlfriend to come in and just sit down and say hello to the dog, after a couple of visits they are like best friends and the dog just lays all over her, the dog still barks is the girlfriend does not say hello to her, but shes now learnt its best and quieter to get the hello over with.
