Along with proper precaution, regular monitoring of their disposition and body also is indispensable. If you notice the goldfishes developing a few signs of dots over their body and moving their gills restlessly, it is a result of fatal effect of infection affecting all the goldfishes of aquarium. It is not only a filth or infection in the water of a tank or aquarium which causes untimely death to the precious goldfishes, but a sudden change in water temperature as well. In simple words, sudden change in the water temeperature can exterminate all the goldfishes altogether. So you should maintain a proper temperature inside the tank dwelt by goldfishes by pressing into service temperature controlling machine.

As far as spreading of diseases among the goldfishes is concerned, only a contagious disease spreads much faster among the mild goldfishes. You are needed to keep a regular watch over the goldfishes and administer effective treatment only after noticing something unwanted happening with the goldfishes. • Ich- Such disease can be recognized by white spots and dots surfacing all over the body of goldfish. It spreads much faster among all the goldfishes catching the people unawares of its fatal effect on goldfishes. If you notice such types of spots over your goldfishes, contact immediately a veterinarian without any delay. But in the meantime keep changing the water in order to lessen the gravity of infection or filth in the water.
• Tail or Fin Rot- As the name reveals itself, fin rot disease can easily be recognized by a few random holes developed over the fins of goldfishes. The fin appears to have rotten or been eaten by any water creature. Such goldfish disease may be  caused either due to parasites, overcrowding of goldfishes in aquarium, low oxygen levels, bullying or poor water quality. In order to provide effective treatment to the goldfishes, you should mix melafix, maracyn, tetracycline(sulfa-based products) and hydrogen peroxide in the water. Make sure that any of the mentioned substnces should not come directly into the contact of goldfishes.
• Fungus- In such type of goldfish disease, you will notice Grey-White color fibrous material existing allover the body of goldfishes. Though there may be several reasons of such type of disease(fungus disease), collusion of goldfishes with the walls of tank is supposed to be the major one causing severe injuries to the goldfishes. Whenever you notice fungus disease among the goldfishes, use anti-fungal medications. Pour 1-3g/ liter mixture of aquarium-salt in the water dwelt by goldfishes. Such mixture will decrease the existing salt of water, thus providing a great relief to the goldfishes from an inflammatory sensation over their skin.
• Constipation- Whenever goldfishes consume mistakenly their own feces, they get victimized of constipation. In order to treat the constipation affecting the goldfishes at large, you should feed them fresh edible items like peas, spinach, and tubifex worms.
• Dropsy-Such disease is caused among the goldfishes by bacterial infection or their kidney failure. It can be prevented from exacerbating beyond, by keeping the water free from parasites.
