• Put four cups of water into a glass-container.
• Now pour the sugar into the water.
• Boil the water for three to five minutes of time, stirring with a wooden spoon till the sugar is completely dissolved in the boiling water.
• Keep stirring the solution with a wooden spoon.
• Now add few drops of edible color in order to give a natural look to your homemade hummingbird nectar. Red color nectar magnetizes the hummingbirds at large.
• Now cool the homemade hummingbird nectar.
• Fill the hummingbird nectar feeder/s with such a homemade hummingbird nectar.

Precaution while making the hummingbird nectar

Before embarking upon preparing a homemade hummingbird nectar, you should inquire how pure and sanctified the hummingbird nectar is which the hummingbirds consume only from the fresh flowers of garden. Keeping in view harmful effects over health of hummingbirds, red color with harmful disposition has been banned. • Use only a glass-container and a wooden spoon. Do not use any metallic utensil. (Metals spoil the spontaneity of homemade hummingbird nectar’s taste).
• Do not use tap-water that has chlorine and other antibacterial chemicals.
• Use only natural ground-water or the filtered water.
• Do not use scent or perfume in order to attract hummingbirds. The hummingbirds are not attracted by scents.
• Do not pour a hot homemade syrup or hummingbird nectar into hummingbird nectar feeder.
• Clean the hummingbird nectar feeder twice a week with hot water and bleach solution in order to prevent any destructive effect on hummingbirds.
