ok so i have a pain in the left side of my chest obviously, but i am only 18 years old. it just randomly started happening and it really only hurts if i push on that part of my chest. i smoke occasionally but i smoke poppers which consist of a bit of tobacco with some marijuanna aswell. ive been smoking them for like 2 years now and im starting to wonder if thats the problem. its never bothered me before but now all of a sudden it hurts. im not sure if it is due to something else because im still pretty active and i can do everything that any 18 year old can do, just doesnt make sense

Im 18years old and i have been having chest pains since i can remember. I dont smoke or drink at all. My mom used to tell me they are anxiety attacks but im not really sure, sometime the pain hurts so bad that i fall to my knees and start crying! Other then these pains i seem to be normal i can do anthing most other teenagers can!

Hi, i am 22yrs old, i smoke between 10-20 cigarettes a day, have recently come down with a cold and i am now experiencing shooting pain through the left side of my check but this only occurs when breathing in, i have tried taking painkillers with no avail, and i have also tried resting this afternoon but the pain has been continuous for the past 5 hours now n i cant get rid of it? I have a very rare blood disorder which includes me having too many platelets in my blood and i therefore am prone to clots…….im concerned about this chest pain should i be?

It sounds like you may have developed something called paluresy. It is similar to pnemonia but with out the fluid in the lungs. It is brought on by being sick with something like a upper respiratory infection. What happens is the lungs develop ridges and when you breathe in, the ridges rub each other and cause pain. You may wanna ask your doc about that because I had that a few months ago and it can be very painful. Good luck!
This may sound harsh, but it isn’t meant that way…quit smoking! NOTHING good comes from smoking! Especially if you are prone to clots. If you are experiencing chest pain/pain when breathing, be good to your lungs, heart, and overall BODY and stop the cigarettes. If after a month of no smoking, you still have these pains, then perhaps you should see your doctor. At this point, I have a feeling that would be his/her advice at this point.

I am 17 years old and I have pains just to the left of the middle of the chest.
I have these quite regular and have never gone to the doctor because my dad keeps saying to me I am still growing blah blah blah,,
They last about a minute or two and then go, the feeling is such a sharp pain and makes my chest feel so tight and I am starting to get worried. I don’t have a clue what this may be and I am hoping one of you can help me. Hence posting this.

i am only seventeen years old and i am suddenly having heart pain on the left side without any accompanying symptoms (except perhaps my limbs fall asleep easily?) i am on medications (antiseizure) but these have never affected my heart before. i have recently gained weight and been less active so maybe that has something to do with it. it gets worse when i exercise and eat, and i dont have any other conditions like pneumonia or infections. i am wondering if i should go to the ER or something…
about 4 weeks ago i started getting a dull pain in the left side of my chest. after about a week it went into mu back direct opposite side of the chest pain. i have lost 90% of my energy and at times in bed, felt nauseous and short of breath. i am 24, female with Atrial Tachycardia. i had an ablation done on my heart a few months ago. i went in for an x-ray a few days ago and it was clean. still excruciating pain in the left chest aria and goes to the middle of my chest. back pain and very tired. i had blood work done the other day and an ECG. not sure whats wrong with me. no cough anymore but did for a few days.

Hi, I am 28 years old, i don’t smoke, or don’t drink, i used feel little bit of pain on my right chest occasionally, but i guess its cause of some gas problem, however i have been feeling pain on my left side of my chest last couple of month that stay only 2/3 minute and only when i breath strongly, otherwise its normal. have you checked out Costochondritis for left chest and left arm pain.? It is related to Fibromialgia which causes chest and left arm pain, fatique,muscle and joint pain.
