Lately, 3-5 months, now I have been experiencing a burning sensation when I drink red wines. Not all red wines cause this…usually cabs, some merlots, syrah. I have check a few web sites and have not found anything that relates directly to this stinging sensation. I suspect it may be the tannins or perhaps the acidity level. I do not seem to get this sensation from whites. Any ideas??
