What is Appendicitis?
Inflammation of the appendix, which is closed ended, narrow tube up to several inches in length that is attached to the cecum like a worm. The inner lining of the appendix produces a small amount of mucus that flows through appendix and the cecum. Lymphatic tissues are present on the wall on appendix which is the part of the immune system.

Reason Behind Appendicitis
Inflammation of appendix due to blockage at the opening of the appendix into the cecum and reasons behind this blockage:
- Thick mucus or stool that enters the appendix through cecum when hardens like rock block the ending of the Appendix.
- When Lymphatic tissues swells badly block the appendix and bacteria found generally in appendix stars affecting the walls of appendix, the body responds to the invasion by mounting an attack on the bacteria, an attack called inflammation.
Other Major Complications Due To Appendicitis
Sometimes this infections becomes worst and spread in other parts of the body like abdomen area. Major pain or problems occur when there is delay in treatments and diagnosis of Appendicitis because it can cause periappendiceal abscess (a collection of infected pus). Surgery is always recommended as early as possible when the Appendicitis is detected. Appendicitis becomes more complicated when infections or infected bacteria from Appendix enter the blood and travel to another parts of the body. Other symptoms of Appendicitis.

- Along with the abdominal pain anorexia, low grade fever, nausea, malaise are the common symptoms of appendicitis.
- Appendix Pain become more prominent and localizes when appendix become inflamed and irritate the peritoneum surrounding it, any stretching of abdominal content worsen the pain and its effects.
- As the inflammation spreads to nearby tissues, the pain may become sharper and more severe.
- Location of your pain may vary, depending on your age and the position of your appendix.
What Treatment Is Done?
Once a diagnosis of appendicitis is made, an appendectomy usually is performed. Patient starts with antibiotics before surgery, few patients does not need surgery but few need to remove their appendix as soon as possible.
