I bought a CLOPAY (life time guarantee) garage door through Home Depot about four years ago. It started to rust and I sent them pictures, they wanted more pictures and I sent those also. Then finally they had enough pictures and then said the rusting is because of the environment, you know rain,salt etc., – Well I am not a scientist but I think the environment causes everythings else to rust too. So they it said it was not covered under warranty ???? So I presume the guarantee is only good as long as nothing happens to the door!!
