The reader who has revealed his opinion seems either terrified of HPV’s treacherous impact or is much frustrate of some other reason. Can he authenticate his comment “It has NOTHING to do with being dirty or having dirty genitals”. Sexual region is the exit for urine carrying filthy water, dirt itself. And HPV somehow is associated with the dirt or filth that becomes easiest cause of infection in the woman’s vagina. Second comment that “The strand of HPV that causes warts DOES NOT turn into cervical cancer if left untreated, and vice versa” vividly shows commentator’s hasty reply. This article has not aimed at terrifying anyone else by introducing the HPV as fatal in nature. It is the critical syndrome of HPV that has been stressed upon in this article as the cause of cancer.

The person who wrote this article is obviously very ignorant on this particular topic.
If anyone here has, thinks they have, or just want to know more about HPV, go to a doctor or at least a better website. This person is clearly uninformed.

First of all, HPV is a virus that is spread by one infected person to another. It can be spread just by contact of the infected area alone, and it is possible to get it without sexual intercourse. It has NOTHING to do with being dirty or having dirty genitals.
Also, there are many different strands of HPV, most causing genital warts and some having the possibility to cause certain cancers. The strand of HPV that causes warts DOES NOT turn into cervical cancer if left untreated, and vice versa. So don't let this website scare you.
Once again there are many strands of HPV. Although there is a vaccine, this vaccine only prevents a few of the most common strands. So even if you did get the vaccine, there is still a possibility of getting HPV. Not trying to scare readers, just trying to inform them.
Also, HPV IS CURABLE! Our immune systems are capable of doing amazing things. In most cases our bodies get rid of the virus, on average in about 2 years. But of course, it may take longer/shorter for some peoples bodies to get rid of it depending on their immune systems.

I know I'm leaving a rather long post on an article that shouldn't be worth my time. But I don't want readers to be misinformed. Although HPV is not desirable in any way, shape, or form....if you educate yourself on the topic (by asking your doctor, or reading a credible website, NOT this one) you will realize that HPV isn't as scary as you think.

The passing of HPV has nothing to do with a lack of hygiene. It is a virus and can be spread from a person who is infected when they are shedding the virus. End of story. Cleaning your genitals before sex has nothing to do with it, although I suppose it couldn't hurt.

Whoever wrote this article is clearly uninformed, not to mention a non-native English speaker. They are basically making money to search the internet for information on a topic they know nothing about so that they can reform it here with their own biases and neuroses. Do not listen to this person.

I recently was aware of having HPV. I have not had a lot of sex partners, im with my boyfriend of a year and i hvents slept with no other male. Im at a young age so it was kinda scray to find out. I went back to the doctor and she washed it with vin. and some type of chemical. Im still stressing cause i just want it to be over with already and im not looking forward to worrying and dealing with it for awhile. I have no symptoms, like no warts or anything, Thank god. But i wanna know anyway and everyway i can help to get rid of it.

"A Young Guy":
I was disappointed finding out I had HPV, seeing as how I've only been with one person. It's sad that people who aren't promiscuous can get an STI. Keep in mind that while you haven't cheated, HPV can have no symptoms for years. And your girlfriend should have a pap done soon, since it is possible for HPV to turn into cervical cancer; if her immune system is unable to get rid of it. I was in early stages of cervical cancer and 6 mos later my pap showed up clear. But even after it's still important to get checked to make sure there are no more abnormalities. Hope everything works out for you guys. =]

I'm almost positive I have hpv. I've been trying to get rid of these warts that have formed on my penis. I think my gf might have it too now. I first noticed about 6 months ago. And with her, I noticed a few months ago. I don't think she has, tho. We have been together about a year and a half, and neither one of us have cheated. She had her yearly checkup with the gynocologist over a year ago and turned up clear. Is it possible for hpv to hide even from the gynocologist tests? And how do I approach her about this without being accused of cheating and losing my girlfriend? I could really use some advice.

There is no way to get rid of GW 100%, no cure. However it has been suggest taking vitiams E and C will help the body fight it off naturally over years tho!

Nearly 50% of people have it so you shouldn't feel a shamed
